Our Mission

The American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA) is an organization whose members have a common interest in protecting drinking water from contamination through cross-connections. ABPA is committed to advancing all aspects of backflow prevention for the continued protection of all water users.

About Us

“Florida Suncoast Chapter” of the American Backflow Prevention Association was established in 2004.  Currently this chapter is the only one in Florida. Ken Goergen is the current acting president and the founding member of this chapter.

Pinellas County Utilities has graciously hosted this chapter since its inception and supports the important work of protecting Florida’s drinking water.

American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA) is an international organization focused on keeping drinking water safe. It was establish in 1984 and continues to thrive through participation of its many chapters.
